TB

So I had to get a TB test for work. I went in to a clinic on Friday and got the shot thing. The bump went away until Sunday when it decided to come back and get red. When I went back in today to get the results checked the nurse paused, looked worried, and called a doctor over to look at it. She said that it was borderline and the doctor said that I should be okay. Should be?? How can you be borderline TB? Isn't that a one-way deal? Positive or negative? So I have to go back if it doesn't go away. Seems a little im-precise to me.

Rory took the TB test a few years ago and they said the results were positive and they made him take medicine, but it turns out he didn't have it. I don't think those tests are completely accurate, or they don't read them right. I don't know. I think you'll live.

Yeah I know that I will be fine. It just seems like a waste to pay $50 for a test that doesnt have accurate results.

did they just look at it or actually feel it? If they didn't feel it, they didn't read it right. A positive test does not mean you have the disease. it might mean you are a carrier. but that is highly unlikely. if it's positive, which it isn't it sounds like, you should get a chest x-ray.

Weird. I'm a teacher here in MA and they did away with requiring TB tests 2 - 3 years ago.
