It is freakin hot!!

I feel like I am dying. But at the same time I kinda like it. Today it was 92 with 85% humidity. The low is 70. Yeah, that means freakin hot. I don't understand how the humidity thing works but it sure feel warmer than 92. I like summer. I just need a boat. Our parcel of water is only big enough for the tadpoles.
Plus this is an extremely old farmhouse with no air conditioning and poor ventilation. Oh well some good things did happen this weekend. I was out driving and I had my windows down. At a light a cute old man yelled at me "Hello Idaho!" and then he said "I didn't know they made them so good looking in Idaho". Hee hee...it made me laugh. It was this old guy on a bike who probably could barely see my license plate let alone me. But hey a compliment is a compliment right? My aunt told me about a store I needed to check out this weekend too. It is great! A consignment store where people bring in their old junk to sell. Your garbage is another man's treasure...or something like that. Anyway, I had a lot of fun browsing through all of the stuff and they really did have some great junk. I even bought some. Antique stores are some of my favorite places to shop. And I found a great local ice-cream shop that makes a mean slushie. With a little frozen yogurt on top and the heat didn't seem to be that bad. For about a minute anyway.

I totally understand what you're going through with the heat and humidity. I can't stand it. Even at night, it doesn't feel better, because it is so sticky. Thats funny about the old man yelling at you. I laughed.

Consignment stores are great! We almost bought a table from one in Boise. The down-side to them is that sometimes they accept pieces that aren't all functional, like this table. The owner had nailed the leaves up and you couldn't get them down. The consignment people were mortified they had tried to sell it to us because they said they didn't accept things like that

I laughed out loud at the old man comment. That's pretty funny but I am sure it made you feel good about yourself.

old men are cute. most of them anyway. have you seen band of brothers? i just watched it and still can't stop thinking about how awesome each and every one of those men were. and today the ones whom are still alive are 10 times cuter, because they're old and have amazing stories to tell.

p.s. you should keep an eye out for an aebleskiver pan. it's a pan with round indentations in it for aebleskiver dough. aebleskivers are a scandinavian/danish/european doughnut of sorts. quite yummy.
