Excitement in Billings
I spent a few days with my parents earlier this week. It is always nice to see them because I really don't get to very much anymore. We got home from dinner and a walk around 9pm on the first night and my dad got a phone call. It was the security company because the alarm system had been triggered at my dad's office. So we all got back in the car and drove down. The building is in a dark and scary part of town. Plus it was right in the middle of a very impressive lightning storm. Hmmm....standing outside was a bit frightening as 3 cops went through the building with their guns drawn. One of them looked about 16. Baby face. Thankfully, they didn't find anything. But it did make for an exciting night! My parents now have 3 baseball players living with them. They have not ever had an empty nest even though my youngest brother graduated from high school 5 years ago. I haven't even met all of the kids that have lived there. At least I had a bed this time.
The fire in Red Lodge seems to be mostly contained. 85% It did get a bit scary for a while because the wind picked up one day but the cabin seems safe for now.

I'm so glad the cabin is safe!!! I was worried.
That sounds like a fun night.
i'm glad you weren't bored in MT. and even more glad you were in ID before that!
I'm so glad you updated... I've been checking and I was sick of looking at that gross eyeball. I'm also bummed you got to Billings without me. I keep telling Todd we need to go back.
Maybe the alarm went off because of the lightning... sometimes car alarms do that.
