100 Things
Recently I seem to be bombarded with the fact that I am not very good about communicating. I know this!! Thanks Mom!I was reading a friend's blog earlier and she did this thing called 100 things. Basically you list 100 things that people may not know about you. 100 is a lot but I decided to give it a try. We will see how far I get. It may take me more than one sitting. I don't think I have that kind of patience tonight.
1. I could be called a picky eater (although i would call it, selective).
2. I am starting grad school this June. Elementary reading and literacy. I know, thrilling.
3. I grew up in Montana, went to school in Idaho, and now live in Michigan.
4. I am a special ed teacher and work with kids with all sorts of disabilities.
5. I am scared of ants.
6. I like coffee with flavor.
7. I could snack all day and not eat any meals.
8. I love popcorn, chips and crackers.
9. My parents live in MT, my brother is in OH, and the other brother is in CT (he is graduating from college in May).
10. My favorite color is red. I like to decorate with it, wear it, and color with it.
11. I struggle with organization. One person I work with said that she hates spending time in my classroom. In fact, she has gone to Target on her lunch break and bought me organizers for my desk.
12. My bedroom is about the same as my classroom.
13. I get extremely frustrated when I lose something important. Extremely. Unfortunately, that is connected to number 11 and 12.
14. This is difficult to do. I should be organizing.
15. I don't talk a lot. But I can.
16. I don't like leftovers unless I cooked dinner specifically to have leftovers.
17. I don't really like to cook.
18. I have learned new skills this year. Knitting, ice hockey...
19. If I started college all over again, I may have pursued photography.
20. I really don't like chocolate. That isn't because I have self-control for sweets either. I could eat chewy, fruity candy everyday.
21. I have terrible handwriting and have had official paperwork sent back to my school from the central office because they couldn't read my signature and figure who wrote it.
22. I have never had a speeding ticket. Lots of parking tickets in high school though.
23. Speaking of high school, I was not the best student although I looked like I was. Enough said.
24. I don't like drinking milk or water. I wish that I could survive on drinking juice or soda everyday.
25. I have one tattoo and only one piercing other than my earlobes.
26. My hair is naturally frizzy and on a good day it is naturally curly.
27. I didn't start wearing my hair curly until I moved to Michigan. I blame the humidity.
28. I love peppermint. White chocolate peppermint mocha. Mmmmmm
29. I just bought some half-price peppermint bark leftover from Christmas at a candy store in CA.
30. I wish I were musically talented. My fifth grade band teacher gave me a D and recommended that I not come back.
31. I like to read.
32. Taco Bell is my favorite fast food restaurant.
33. I am cheating by looking at my friend's list for more ideas to write about.
34. Throwing up freaks me out. I always feel like I am going to throw up when I see other people throw up. Kids throw up at school all the time. I haven't this year. Fingers crossed.
35. I have allergies and asthma. But I was a healthy kid and didn't start having problems until high school and college.
36. I love crab and lobster dipped in garlic butter.
37. I love rivers, lakes, marshes, ponds, and the ocean. Any form of water.
38. I watch a few tv shows every week. House, Top Chef, Ugly Betty, Greek, and True Life.
39. Sometimes I do things just because it is what I shouldn't do. It is a problem and I am working on it.
40. I love green beans.
41. I love traveling and will go anywhere.
42. I hate packing and unpacking for traveling.
43. I like getting snail mail other than bills.
44. I am a night person. I think that my natural clock wants me to sleep from about 2am until 9am. Too bad life doesn't work that way.
45. I am nearly halfway finished and my brain is fried. I am going to have to come back to this tomorrow.

Yeah for Erin! I know it took me days to finish mine, but I think it was fun...I learned some things about myself too. I liked #39 (I think that was the number). You always did do things on your own terms and never just because everyone else was doing it (in a good way!)
Carry on, I can't wait to check out the rest of your list.
by the way- I love your long hair!! I honestly can't even remember many times in your life that you had long hair!
I bet this took a long time. Fun to read though.
