daily funny
So clearly I stink at trying to post more daily funnies. I am easily overwhelmed just with the task of logging into my blog. I can't keep the logon name and password in my brain for some reason.Work is stressful. We have started giving the state mandated assessments this week. Schedule changes, bubble forms, test anxiety. It is tough on the kids.
Here is my gross body fluid story for the day. My student who is tube fed requires 2 staff members to support her feeding. So a paraprofessional and I were working on venting her. We have to take the air out of her stomach before we can put the formula and water in. Sometimes, we pull out some stomach acid while we take out the air. It isn't ideal that stomach acid comes out but we have to get the air out, that is the priority. At this feeding, we took out almost 800 cc of air. I don't have much knowledge about that kind of stuff but I can tell you that is a lot of air! Anyway, at one point, the syringe popped out of the tube and splattered stomach acid everywhere. My papers, my hair and clothes, the floor, and the paraprofessionals shirt. So sick! The popping was so unexpected and loud that all we could do was laugh. It is either laugh or cry sometimes. I try to laugh.
After school I took a picture of this magnet on a car parked next to mine. It is definitely worth a laugh.

You always try to top yourself with the ickyness story of the day. This one wins for the teacher of the day, I think
That sticker is quite ironic considering your story! I heartily agree! Jeff would love that.
wow erin!
I love it!! It's not real teaching without stories like that!
